Totara fun day 

Today the totara classes have had a fun day

the activities were swimming , slip n slide , cooking , sports  stem  and making a candy cane mouse

the first thing I did was the sports we got in groups of 3 I was with Zachary Richardson and Ryan Gary Eggers . The objective was to get as many tennis  balls as you can into your hula hoop until all the balls in the middle were gone . In the first game our team won but the second one didn't go to plan our team got disqualified for cheating and so did another team the third round we had a new person join our team because he just joined. with him we got second in the third game  then we played a different game where we had to dodge through cones and we had to get into a group of six but our group had about eight  which was me , Ryan , Bryll  , Nevan  , Bongani  , Don and sahr  in that one our team didn't win but we did good

   

athletics practise

for the last week or 2  our seniors have been doing athletics practise. The first sport we did was high jump. There was 2 lines people who jumped on the left side and people who jump on the right side I picked the right side . My first jump was okay The second jump was a lot better 

The second thing we did was long jump I did OK in that I learnt that you don't need such a big run up to get far  the next one we did Was relays and in that I learnt that to run faster you have to lean forward.

goals for 2019 and term 4

This year I am glad about my progress in Maths, writing and Reading.

• But I think I have to improve in remainders in maths.

• For reading I think i'm doing well but I have to have more expression when I read aloud. 

• In writing I'm doing pretty good I also think that sometimes I have to re craft to improve my sentences. 

S.T.E.A.M

 on Tuesday at our school we had a event called steam which stands for science technology engineering and maths. Me Ryan and Liam and other people went to a class on how to make pixel art on google spreadsheet. Here are some examples of the things that I made on the day and also at home I made a creeper poke ball and a minion it was really neat I wish we could do steam again .  

museum trip

This Tuesday our class went on a trip to the museum to learn about the hei tiki. It's meaning and making our own ones first we looked at the difference between the tiki and the hei tiki. the hei tiki is when it is a necklace and the tiki is when it's a normal tiki that is not a necklace. Then we had a look at the history of the tiki and someone who when the British came  she guided them around new Zealand and around mount Tarawhera after  the guide told us about that person we had a look at one of hers tiki's that are over 100 years old then we got into groups of 4 to 5 people . then the tour guide got out some tiki's that are not to valuable  to the museum and feel them. After that we made our own tiki's out of felt and glue .

adaptation game

 

this week we had to make a board game for the juniors to play with at wet lunch times. I made this game with my 2 friends Liam , Ryan and me  since it was for the juniors we decided to avengers .  the game was originally monopoly the game took about 90 minutes to make and we drawled and write mostly everything except the infinity gauntlet. when we got to the money that was quite hard but  we made it out of wallpaper. the board that we put everything on was made of cardboard, glue and staples.

today we had top draw a drawing for our re book that involves the sacred heart mass this week as you can see in the top there are things that say what we can draw. I did the cross and the fire
